I Spy My Little Eye is an interactive youth photography and community exploration series designed to help young people learn to observe their surroundings differently.
Through photography, guided community walks, creative exercises, interviews, reflection, and asset-mapping activities, participants are encouraged to document what they notice about their neighborhoods, identify community strengths and opportunities, and understand that their perspectives can contribute to how communities are understood and improved.
Rather than simply teaching young people how to take a photograph, I Spy My Little Eye asks them to become observers, storytellers, and young community researchers. Participants explore questions such as: What do I notice? What makes this community special? What is missing? What would I preserve? What would I change?
